Report: 1 Dies In Grain Elevator Mishap In Haswell

HASWELL, Colo. (AP) ― KKTV-TV in Colorado Springs reports that Kiowa County sheriff's officials are investigating what appears to be an accidental death at a grain elevator in Haswell.

A sheriff's official told KKTV that Cody Clayton Rigsby, 17, was found dead inside the Temple Grain elevator Friday night after apparently falling into a bin full of grain.

The TV station reports that he was working in the elevator when a co-worker lost sight of him, and it took several hours for emergency responders to find him.

No one was available to comment Sunday to The Associated Press.
