Plague Found In Fleas In Prairie Dog Colony

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) ― Health officials have found plague in fleas living in a prairie dog colony near Hughes Stadium in Fort Collins.

Rich Bachand, city planner, said the fleas were not found on the prairie dog themselves.

People were warned to take protection in the area. They should wear insect repellant and keep pets out of the area.
