Denver Zoo Starts Cell Phone Recycling System
DENVER (CBS4) ―
The Denver Zoo has partnered with Eco-Cell in an effort to recycle old cell phones.
The company will pay the zoo up to $10 for each working cell phone that's turned in. All funds will benefit the animals.
The phones will be put to good use. Most of them go to low income families in Latin America, as well as senior citizens and battered women's groups.
Zoogoers can drop of used cell phones at the guest services counter at the main entrance of the zoo.
