Financial Future Of Colorado State Fair Questioned
DENVER (CBS4) ―
The state auditor has questioned the financial future of the Colorado State Fair.
The Denver Post reported the fair lost nearly $1.2 million last year.
Rising energy costs and bad weather are two of the reasons for the big loss.
The fair recently reduced its days of operation from 16 to 11 days to save money.
It's also raising weekend admission rates, carnival pass prices and some food prices to help close the budget shortfall.
