Suspect Arrested For Robbing Craigslist Sellers
DENVER (CBS4) ―
A 15-year-old boy learned a lesson after a scary transaction on Craigslist.
Chris Anglin put his Xbox 360 up for sale on the Web site, but his buyer gave him more than he bargained for.
"At first he pulled up and then opened the door and he asked me to get in the car, and I like kind of just ignored him," Anglin said. "Then when he pulled the gun he asked me to get in the car again, and I refused a second time."
Anglin handed over his Xbox and his cell phone.
"There was stuff I probably should have noticed, but I got caught up in how good a deal I was making," Anglin said.
Later that night police say a similar incident took place in the Stapleton Sam's Club parking lot. The Craigslist seller met the buyer, only this time the buyer had a friend with him. The suspect pointed a gun at the seller, who handed over his Wii.
Denver police say they've arrested a primary suspect in this case, but they're still looking for the friend who was with him.
"I just say I'm really not surprised because the guy looks like he's really done it before," Anglin said.
