Colorado Springs Motorcycle Officer Hurt In Crash

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) ― A motorcycle officer in Colorado Springs is hospitalized with a fractured pelvis and other injuries after collding with a car Sunday evening.

Officer Steven Davis ran into a car turning left in downtown Colorado Springs. The 39-year-old officer was attempting to make a traffic stop of a motorcycle but did not have his lights flashing.

Davis collided with the Chevy Cobalt in an intersection and was thrown several feet. He was wearing a helmet but had several injuries and is recovering in the hospital.

The driver of the Cobalt Davis will be cited for careless driving and making an improper turn.
