Al-Turki's Wife Fined For Seeing Alleged Victim
LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) ―
A Saudi woman accused of enslaving her Indonesian nanny was ordered to pay a $5,000 bond for having contact with the alleged victim against court orders.
Sarah Khonaizan, 36, had a face-to-face encounter with the nanny last month, which is a violation of a restraining order, prosecutors said Tuesday at a court hearing.
Arapahoe County Judge Christine Chauche ordered Khonaizan to post bond immediately or face arrest.
Khonaizan and her husband, Homaidan Al-Turki, are charged with federal and state crimes of forced labor and kidnapping for bringing the nanny to the United States and allegedly underpaying her and preventing her from returning to Indonesia by withholding her passport, according to prosecutors.
