Man Suspected Of Shooting Woman In Back Caught

EDGEWATER, Colo. (CBS4/AP) ― The man wanted in connection with the shooting death of a woman last heard screaming for help in Edgewater Wednesday night was arrested Thursday morning.

Authorities said the shooting happened at about 9 p.m. Wednesday at West 20th Ave. and Otis St.

Police said Edwardo Espinoza-Martinez, 26, was the suspect in the shooting death of Amanda Jean Duran, 22. Investigators said Duran was shot from behind while begging for a neighbor's help.

Espinoza-Martinez then allegedly left the scene in a pickup truck.

Officers arrested him about 10 a.m. Thursday.
