Attorneys Want Jury Queries Sealed In Nacchio Case
DENVER (AP) ―
Attorneys representing former Qwest chief executive Joe Nacchio and prosecutors want to withhold from the public a jury questionnaire for his trial on insider trading charges.
The two sides submitted their request to a federal judge Friday saying the questionnaire will spark unwanted attention if it's made public.
Nacchio is a former CEO at Qwest Communications International Inc. He is accused of selling $101 million worth of stock in 2001 based on inside knowledge that Qwest would be unable to meet revenue targets.
Each of the 42 counts carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
Nacchio has pleaded not guilty and remains free on bail. His trial is set to begin March 19.
