CU Opens New Addition To Space Lab

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) ― The University of Colorado's Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics in Boulder opened a 45,000 square foot addition.

The building includes new clean rooms for designing and building instruments for NASA missions.

The lab operates nine scientific instruments in space and is one of only five university-based satellite control centers in the nation.

Research grants will pay for the addition that cost $13 million.
