AIDS Patient Returns From Dream Trip

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) ― A man in Aurora born with AIDS is back in Colorado after a dream trip to Disney World in Florida. Aaron Weiss, 20, takes 80 doses of medication each day and is on dialysis.

Weiss was able to make the trip he wanted thanks to a local sports figure who doesn't want to be identified.

Weiss and his mother said the trip made for a magical week, despite all the medical hurdles.

"I had a fun time at Disney World with like riding on rides and stuff," Aaron Weiss said.

"No one in the family could give him what the trip gave him, which was unbounded joy, that he got up that he had something to do that this was what he wanted," Linda Weiss, Aaron's mother said.

Aaron Weiss did have to be rushed to the hospital while in Florida for an emergency blood transfusion. Weiss said he barely remembered the treatment.

Weiss said he really remembers the great time he and his family had at Disney World.
