Two teenagers were in critical condition after a head-on accident Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened about 3:00 p.m. on South Parker Road near East Temple Drive in Aurora.
Police said four teenagers were in a KIA that was heading southbound on South Parker Road when it crossed into oncoming traffic.
The KIA first struck a 1997 Ford Taurus and then collided with a 2005 Ford F-250 traveling behind the Taurus.
Police believe the driver of the KIA was distracted by the other passengers when the collision happened.
All four teenagers were taken to Denver area hospitals where two of the victims were in critical condition.
Two adults and one child were in the Taurus and were transported to an area hospital, but their injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
The passengers in the F-250 were uninjured.
Police said drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the accident. Names of the victims were being withheld.
