2 Children Dead After Head-On Crash In Fort Lupton

FORT LUPTON, Colo. (AP) ― Two children have been killed in a head-on crash in Fort Lupton.

The accident happened on Colorado 52 Saturday night. Police said two Toyotas crashed, killing two young children in one of the vehicles. The man driving the other Toyota was airlifted to the hospital and his passenger, a woman, was taken by ambulance.

After the initial crash, another car hit the two crashed Toyotas. The driver of that car, who was pinned in her car for about a half hour, was also airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have played a role in the crashes.

Authorities said this is the second serious accident at this spot in the past several months. No one was killed in the previous accident.
