Broomfield High OK To Open After Asbestos Tests
Howard Nathan Reporting
BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) ―
After extensive tests for asbestos at Broomfield High School,
Boulder Valley School District announced that the school is cleared to
reopen and classes will continue uninterrupted on Monday.
"Extensive air quality sampling of the high school today verified the school
was safe to reopen immediately," a news release from the district stated.
The announcement came late Saturday night, following a scare Friday when the school's boiler broke and officials found one
type of asbestos in the boiler room and two types of asbestos in the
hallway. That afternoon discovery prompted the school to cancel Friday night's basketball game.
