Breast Cancer Road Races Tally $2.4M

DENVER (AP) ― Colorado's most popular foot races have raised at least $2.4 million for breast cancer prevention and research.

This year's Race For The Cure 5Ks and family walk drew 62,000 to downtown Denver. The race has the most participants of any foot race in Colorado.

Organizers say that so far $2.4 million has been tallied, with that number expected to rise over coming days as more pledges arrive.

The Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation put together the race. Millions run every year in more than 100 races across the nation.
