Boulder May Have To Kill Some Prairie Dogs

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) ― It has been Boulder's policy to move prairie dogs instead of killing them, but they may have no choice.

City Manager Frank Bruno said prairie dogs have been moving into two popular playing fields. He said they probably will be removed and killed within the next 30 days.

Bruno will take his plan to the City Council at its Tuesday night meeting.

The city will try to keep the animals from returning to both parks after they are removed.

The two parks are Tom Watson Park and Valmont Park.
