Asphalt Shortage Could Delay Many CDOT Projects

DENVER (CBS4) ― A shortage of asphalt may delay 34 road projects around Colorado.

The projects in jeopardy include Colorado Boulevard in Denver from Mexico to Alameda Avenue, two sections of Interstate 25 and parts of Colfax Avenue.

The Colorado Department of Transportation is now identifying which projects may be delayed or which roads may take longer to resurface because of the national asphalt shortage.

CDOT says the asphalt shortage is expected to be short-term.
