Right now the H1N1 vaccine is only available to those at high risk. At a Greenwood Village vaccine clinic qualifying patients found getting the vaccination can take some time.
The line for the H1N1 flu clinic started outside. For some families that was enough to turn away and go home, but the wait outside turned out to be less than 10 minutes. Inside the line was long and twisted down hallways.
The turnout was no surprise for the Tri-County Health Department. So far in its 18 clinics it's given out about 25,000 vaccinations.
There was a form to fill out but no identification was needed.
"We're asking people to be residents in our jurisdiction, the Tri-County. We're asking people if they're pregnant, if they want to tell us that. We're really just trusting people's words," Dr. Richard Vogt with Tri-County Health said.
The clinic offered the H1N1flu mist as well as the H1N1 flu shot.
The overall wait at the Greenwood Village location turned out to be about an hour and a half.
It's estimated about 3,500 people were vaccinated at the clinic.
