Nicotine Drink Soon To Be Available In Airports

LOS ANGELES, Colo. (CBS4) ― There's a new drink that may offer relief to smokers who can't light-up. Nic Lite was developed by a company in Southern California as a drink containing nicotine.

Nic Lite was first available at the Los Angeles International Airport and in some LA Convenience stores. Nico Worldwide Inc., the company which makes Nic Lite, said it hopes to eventually sell the drink in more than 50 airports in the United States. The marketing would target nicotine-addicted airline passengers facing the agony of smoke-free flights.

The developers said Nic Lite is the equivalent of smoking two cigarettes, but healthier. Tasters have said it tastes like water with a hint of lemon and nicotine, of course.

Nic Lite, which may also soon be available in Canada, has been marketed as a way to hold smokers over between cigarettes. Makers were not saying that it was a way to quit smoking.
