Children's Hospital Patients Design Holiday Cards

DENVER (CBS4) ― The Children's Hospital held a contest for oncology patients to design holiday cards to benefit the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

The contest is held every year and the winning designs are made into holiday cards which are sold between October and January. The five winning patients will be honored and awarded at a fundraising event.

Last year the money raised helped fund things such as wigs, medical bracelets, eye exam equipment, teaching materials and equipment for the research department.

This year's winners are as follows:

  • Caitlin Cameron, 17 (two winning designs)
  • Caroline Stratton, 9 (two winning designs)
  • Calysta Corbett, 4
  • Kelly Marston, 10
  • Benjamin Parrish, 10

The artists will also receive a cash award and a special plaque.
