Denver Health To Open New Children's ER
DENVER (CBS4) ―
There will soon be another option for emergency care for children in Denver. Denver Health Medical Center will open a new emergency room for children.
The new emergency room will open to the public on Sept. 10.
Doctors say it's important for parents to have emergency care close to home.
"It's centralized, we're a major trauma center," said Dr. Katie Bakes, Director of Denver Emergency Room for Children. "For sick, medical and trauma patients minutes make a big difference."
Outside Denver Health Medical Center parents and children took part in a bike safety fair Saturday. Dozens of children received free bike helmets and free bike repairs.
