Allard, Salazar Want Broad Mental Health Probe

DENVER (AP) ― Colorado's U.S. senators are warning Congressional investigators against only looking at Fort Carson as they take a closer look at the military's mental health services.

Other senators have called for investigations following allegations that Fort Carson soldiers didn't receive adequate treatment or were punished for seeking treatment.

But Colorado Senators Ken Salazar and Wayne Allard said focusing only on Fort Carson could lead people to think that other military facilities are immune from similar problems.

Salazar said the Pentagon has major problems with mental health treatment and that Fort Carson isn't immune.
