Colorado Getaways

CBS4 Producer Doug Whitehead is the award-winning producer of Colorado Getaways, a half-hour program that covers all corners of the state. The show began as a seasonal travel special in the late 1980s. It now has a reputation as the television authority on Colorado outdoors activities, historical places and things to do. Nearly 20 new programs air every year, each show featuring six different locations around the state. Doug writes, produces and voices many episodes himself on the show. He works hard to ensure that Colorado Getaways includes famous spots like the Great Sand Dunes and Rocky Mountain National Park, but you can be sure that he's always keeping an eye out for lesser-known and out-of-the-way places.
