Hilary Cruz, 18, of Louisville, is the reigning Miss Teen USA. She took the title Aug. 24, 2007, during the competition in California. Cruz is the first title holder from Colorado in the history of the Miss Teen USA and Miss USA pageants. She graduated from Centaurus High School in the spring of 2007 and had planned to attend the University of Northern Colorado. She is delaying those plans for the year while she reigns as Miss Teen USA. Cruz eventually hopes to get a degree in journalism and to to work for a television entertainment news program. This was the first time Cruz had competed in pageants and admits she entered the state competition on a whim.
