Who would have thought a dinosaur could help entertainment seekers beat the recession? It's true.
Most kids love dinosaurs and would give anything to see them up close and personal. Here's their chance -- a spectacular show with a great ticket price. It began life as a TV series on the BBC. Now "Walking With Dinosaurs" is a live show and it's coming to the Pepsi Center on July 29.
It's a miracle of animatronics -- a bit radio control, a bit hydraulics -- tied to some marvelous performers who make the creatures come alive.
What's amazing is that the reaction to the show worldwide has been the same. People see it, get lost in it, and believe what they see -- that the dinosaurs have come alive again.
"The proposal here in this area spectacle was the animals get up and walk, they would move around and the audience would believe they are fighting and doing all the other stuff in front of them," producer Tim Haines said.
It's a million years of dinosaur history squeezed into one show on the floor of the Pepsi Center. It's a bargain, too -- seats are only $25 for the Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evening shows with most of the ticket fees waived if the tickets are bought through
TicketHorse.com July 1 through July 5. It's one of the best deals on a big show this summer.
Walking with dinosaurs has a five-day run at the Pepsi Center, July 29 to Aug. 2.
