The weekend of July 19 and 20 music and fans will flood the grounds outside Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City.
A total of 44 different bands will perform for more than 12 hours each day. The names include the big guys like Dave Matthews, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and John Mayer. There will also be plenty of up-and-comers like Colbie Calait and Ingrid Michaelson, as well local bands like The Flobots, Meese and The Railbenders.
The man responsible for handling all the logistics and details is Rob Thomas with AEG Live.
"There are a lot of moving parts and we are very excited," Thomas said. "The motto I'm working on is 'Kill them with calmness' and make our way through it one thing at a time and just get it done. There is a whole lot to do but we are getting there."
It's a list that goes on and on.
"Parking to the VIP experience to the overall guest experience, the concessions and the artists' experience, it's such so much stuff."
"The weather is a big concern," he joked. "We're trying to figure out how to control that."
"I think it's a testament to the artists who are coming here. There are so many different things you can go and see and do throughout the day I think people will be very happy. We have some great art installations from the Santa Fe art district, we've got some great restaurants from the Colorado Restaurant Association. There should be plenty to do."
Oh ... and all that music as well.
