A new art display is being shown off in downtown Denver.
The piece is called National Velvet and it can be seen up close at the new pedestrian bridge over Interstate 25 at 16th Street and Platte.
Denver artist John McEnroe designed the sculpture.
National Velvet is a towering, bright red exhibit. McEnroe used mostly sand bags to create the piece.
McEnroe has several sculptures throughout Denver, including one at the Colorado Convention Center and Dry Creek Light Rail Station.
