Former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway appeared onstage Friday morning in Denver at a John McCain rally with the woman he reportedly is engaged to.

Elway asked Paige Green to marry him while the couple was vacationing in Italy, Penny Parker of CBS4 partner the Rocky Mountain News reported in September.

Green is a former Oakland Raiders cheerleader. The couple met 3 years ago during a celebrity golf tournament in Los Angeles. Elway, 48, said he didn't call Green until 7 months later when he saw her on an infomercial.

Green, 41, moved to Denver a year ago and has been living with Elway.

Elway's first marriage to Janet Elway ended after 18 years and four children.
