Free Night At The Museums For Denver Arts Week

Visitors can tour eleven Denver museums free this weekend, Saturday, Nov. 7 and Sunday, Nov. 8., as part of Denver Arts Week. It's a chance to see everything from comtemporary art to historical places in Colorado and American history.
The Forney Museum features 200 years of transportation history. Visitors can see a car once owned by the famous aviator Amelia Earhart.
Visitors to the Kirkland Museum will enjoy live Bossa Nova music. They can also explore the new exhibit "Streams of Modernism."
Other museums including in the free weekend include Black American West Museum, Byers-Evans House Museum, The Children's Museum, Colorado History Museum, Denver Art Museum, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, The Molly Brown House, Museo de las Americas and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
This is the third year for Denver Arts Week, an event aimed at promoting cultural attractions in the city with many discounts and special events planned throughout the week.
"This is the perfect opportunity to get out and discover Denver's creative side. Let's challenge our locals to explore what is in their own back yard. Know your arts!" said Jayne Buck, Visit Denver.
Free shuttle buses will be available on Saturday for Free Night at the Museums.
Visitors to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the Genghis Khan exhibit is sold out for Saturday night.
