One of the biggest stars in the world is scheduled to appear tonight in Denver.
Will Smith will be at a special screening of his new film Seven Pounds.
Smith is here for two reasons:
1) He hopes people will be encouraged to help out their neighbors. He is donating 300 turkeys to area food banks and hopes that others likewise share.
2) Promotion for Seven Pounds, in which a man determines to pay back the world -- and perhaps fate -- by giving special gifts to seven people who truly deserve those gifts.
It's a movie that fits the times and fits the time of the year with its spirit of giving and a potent emotional punch.
"I'll tell you, quite honestly, it was one of the most affecting films I've seen in years," CBS4 Critic at Large Greg Moody said.
Seven Pounts opens nationwide on Dec. 19.
The screening is set for 7 p.m. and the red carpet event should start at about 5:30 p.m.
On Friday afternoon Smith was seen in the city in a promotional bus that featured his image and the film's title.
