Britney Spears will be making a TV appearance soon, but for once it won't be in tabloid footage.
The pop star will be making a guest appearance on the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother," a publicist for the show confirms to TheShowBuzz.
No additional details on her appearance, including what role she will play or when the show will air, have been revealed.
Past guest stars on the show include Wayne Brady, Enrique Iglesias, Bob Barker and Mandy Moore.
TV personality Vanessa Minnillo, who gets plenty of her own tabloid coverage, will guest star on the show's March 17 episode.
"How I Met Your Mother" stars Josh Radnor as Ted, a young aspiring architect who, after his best friend Marshall (Jason Segel) announces he's going to propose to his girlfriend Lily (Alyson Hannigan), realizes he had better get a move on if he hopes to find true love.
Helping him in his quest is Barney, played by Neil Patrick Harris, a friend with endless, sometimes outrageous opinions, a penchant for suits and a foolproof way to meet women.
When Ted meets Robin (Cobie Smulders), he's sure it's love at first sight, but destiny has something else in store. The series is narrated through flashbacks from the future.
