Section: Denver 2008 DNC Convention Section

DENVER (AP) ― Next week Denver police will review a proposed ordinance to ban protesters from carrying some items during the Democratic National Convention.

If passed, protesters would not be allowed to carry pipes, chains and any materials that could be used to make bombs containing human waste.

Denver safety manager Al Lacabe says police don't want to interfere with protestors' rights.

Lacabe also points out that the protests should be in done in a way that does not endanger the public or police.
