05/12/08, officers assist the Gunnison Police by contacting two individuals who live near Candlelight Lane in relationship to a gas drive off within Gunnison.

05/12/08, Officers received a report of possible harassment from a resident of Almont. Officers are looking into the allegation and suggested that the potential victim levy a restraining order against the suspect.

05/12/08, at approximately 3:30 PM, officers assisted the Gunnison Police Department with searching for a suicidal female near East Gunnison Avenue.

05/12/08, at approximately 5:50 PM, officers received a call concerning a missing child in within the Cactus Hill Subdivision. A short search revealed that the child decided to take a nap and subsequently was found in the last place expected, his own bed.

05/12/08, at approximately 7:30 PM, officers and EMS were dispatched to an address near Mesa Loop in the Antelope Subdivision regarding a 44-year-old female with a broken foot. She was transported to Gunnison Valley Hospital by ambulance.

05/12/08, at approximately 10:10 AM, officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence near County Road 730 (Ohio Creek Road). Officers discovered that although the involvements were in a heated discussion, no laws had been broken.

05/12/08, at approximately 8:10 PM, officers were dispatched to an address near Candlelight Lane regarding damage to a vehicle. Investigations would provide that a neighbor's dog had jumped up on a visitor's vehicle and scratched the finish. The case is civil in nature.

05/13/08, at approximately 12:20 AM, officers responded to a loud party in the Mesa Loop area. The intoxicated involvements were verbally warned and there were no return calls.

05/13/08, at approximately 8:25 PM, officers were dispatched to a bar in Almont concerning an assault. Investigations revealed that there had been a fight, however, the victim did not wish to file charges. The victim had received minor injuries.

05/14/08, at approximately 3:15 PM, officers arrested a 27-year-old Colorado Springs female on three warrants bearing a bond of $750 each (total amount: $2,250. The arrest went without incident at the sheriff's office.

05/15/08, officers were called concerning a water issue between neighbors near County Road 10. A neighbor's drive way was getting flooded due to an over flowing irrigation ditch.

05/15/08, at approximately 2:20 PM, officers, EMS, and Fire responded to a farm tractor fire on County Road 730 (Ohio Creek Road). The Massey Ferguson 690 was severely damaged. The cause of the blaze is believed to be electrical.

05/16/08, at approximately 7:30 PM, officers arrested a 29-year-old Renton Washington male for DUI, speeding 66 MPH in a 55 zone, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. The arrest was made near the 7 mile-marker of Highway 135.

05/16/08, officers cited a 40-year-old Gunnison male, for attempting to purchase a weapon while responding falsely to questions on the ATF form. This is a class one misdemeanor.

05/16/08, at approximately 6:40 PM, officers assisted the Colorado State Patrol with a one-vehicle rollover accident near mile-marker 13 of Highway 135.

05/16/08, at approximately 12:20 PM, officers, EMS and Fire responded to a registered out-of-control burn near Almont. The blaze was extinguished with little or no damages reported.

05/17/08, officers assisted the Colorado State Patrol with a traffic accident near the 3 mile-mark of County Road 10, Cranor Hill Road.

05/17/08, at approximately 7:40 PM, officers received a call concerning a possible restraining order violation near Soap Creek. Investigations revealed that suspicions of the violation does exist, however, the suspect had fled the area before officers arrived. Case is still under investigation.

05/17/08, at approximately 11:20 PM, officers assisted the Colorado State Patrol with a DUI arrest approximately 1 mile north of Gunnison on Highway 135.

05/18/08, at approximately 12:17 AM, officers observed a speeding vehicle approximately 10 miles north on Highway 135. When officers turned on the emergency lights and attempted to stop the vehicle the suspect driver attempted to elude the officers. Eventually the suspect driver stopped at the end of Sage Drive and then attempted to elude officers on foot. The 35-year-old Gunnison male was caught and arrested for vehicular Eluding, obstructing a peace officer, DUI, reckless driving, speeding (clocked well over a hundred miles an hour at times), possession of marijuana (less than an ounce), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

05/18/08, officers received a report of suspicious activities in the Whitepine area. The witness reports that he thought that a seasonal residence may have been burglarized. Case is still under investigation.
