DA Charges Man In Son's Electrocution

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) ― The Weld County District Attorney's office has filed charges against a man in the death of his 11-month-old boy who police say was electrocuted after grabbing a clock with exposed wires.

Greeley police say they arrested Ernesto Talavera-Nunez, 23, after finding inconsistencies in his statements about his baby's death at his home last week.

Talavera-Nunez was jailed on suspicion of felony child abuse resulting in death and Immigration and Customs Enforcement were notified to review his immigration status.

If convicted he could spend 4 to 16 years in prison.
