Police Search For Teen Who Left Crash Scene

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4) ― The Colorado State Patrol is looking for a teenage driver who ran from the scene of an accident.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday just west of Platteville in Weld County.

Troopers say a pickup truck went through a stop sign at County Roads 32 1/2 and 21 and crashed into a ditch.

Three other teenagers in the truck were hurt, including one who is in critical condition.

Troopers say the passengers may have been thrown out of the bed of the truck.

"It's a possibility they were all piled into the cab of the truck or some of them might have been in the rear of the truck," Col. Adrian Bevel with Colorado State Patrol said.

The driver is believed to be a 16-year-old boy. Investigators want to find him and a female passenger.

The driver faces hit-and-run charges at the very least.
