Broncos' Sauerbrun Gets Cited, Sent To Detox

DENVER (CBS4) ― Denver Police cited Broncos player Todd Sauerbrun on an ordinance violation involving an assault this weekend.

Police cited the punter for simple assault early Saturday morning for an incident involving a cab driver.

Police took Sauerbrun to detox before he was released.

The team says it is aware of the incident but did not have any comment.

Sauerbrun was suspended for four games in 206 for violating the league steroids and banned substances policy.
