Search Continues For Kidnapping Suspect, Victim

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) ― The investigation into the reported kidnapping of Rosanna Martinez in Fort Collins continues.

Fort Collins police said Travis Kess, 32, pointed a gun at his former girlfriend, Rosanna Martinez, 45, then fired a shot in the air before abducting her from a Dollar Tree store parking lot.

Police said Kess and Martinez had been in a relationship that ended about eight months ago.

Martinez was abducted as she got into a co-worker's car after getting off from work. Martinez's co-worker was not harmed and called 911.

Police were searching for a 1990s Jeep Cherokee with Colorado license plate FHX-5828. Police fear that Kess, a self-described outdoorsman, may have taken Martinez to a rural area.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Fort Collins Major Crimes Unit (970) 416-2825.
