Landlord Suspected Of Shooting Into Tenant's Room

ERIE, Colo. (AP) ― The Boulder Sheriff's office says they arrested a landlord suspected of shooting into the bedroom of one of his sleeping tenants after an argument.

The sheriff's office says 54-year-old David Gerardi was booked into jail and faces charges that include felony aggravated first-degree assault. No one was injured in the shooting.

Sheriff spokesman Sgt. Bill Crist says the shooting happened Friday morning, hours after authorities cited Gerardi for harassment after an argument with his three tenants.

Crist says Gerardi used a shotgun to fire a round into the bedroom of his tenant's house in Erie, about 25 miles north of Denver.

It was not immediately clear what Gerardi was arguing about with his tenants.
