El Paso County Man Kidnapped, Then Freed In Raid

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) ― El Paso County authorities say a man was kidnapped and held for ransom over the weekend but was freed in a raid by sheriff's deputies with help from Colorado Springs police and the FBI.

Deputies say the man was taken hostage after a fight at a party on Saturday. They say the victim contacted family members on Sunday and told them his captors wanted a ransom.

The family contacted authorities, and investigators say they learned where the man was being held.

It wasn't immediately clear whether anyone was injured during the raid.

Deputies arrested three men on suspicion of kidnapping, extortion, assault and menacing. They were identified as Justin Inacio, Robert K. Gocha IV, Mark B. Montoya and Jamey A. Lobato. Lobato is 23 and the others are 20.
