Denver Graffiti Tagging Crew Leader Found Guilty

DENVER (CBS4) ― Denver police said a graffiti vandal who once boasted he would never be caught was found guilty on several charges last week.

Police said Timothy Barajas, 27, was found guilty of criminal mischief, defacing property and trespassing on Oct. 28 by a Denver jury.

"The conviction is the result of ongoing work between the Denver Police Department's Graffiti Unit and the Denver DA's Office," Loretta M. Beauvais with Denver police said in a prepared statement.

Barajas could face up to 36 months in jail.

He will be sentenced on Dec. 29.

Barajas was the leader of a Denver-area graffiti tagging crew, many of whom have also been identified and arrested.
