A well-known man and personality in Silverthorne was attacked by people in a tan SUV who shot pellets at the victim's face, police said.
Investigators said last Thursday at about 5 p.m., Milton Kapner, also known as "Brother Nathaniel" was standing at Wildernest and Blue River Parkway in Silverthorne. Kapner was holding an American flag and preaching.
Kapner told police he saw a tan SUV heading north on Blue River Parkway. He said the driver pointed a hand gun at him and then drove away.
About 5 minutes later, the SUV returned. A passenger leaned back while the driver pointed a hand gun at Kapner and fired three soft air pellets, police said.
The SUV then went to the gas station with Kapner following. When the driver saw him nearby, he drove away.
Witnesses said there were a total of five men in the SUV.
Silverthorne police released a sketch of a suspect and want anyone with information to call them at (970) 262-7320.
