Boulder Police Investigate Attack On Woman

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4/AP) ― Boulder police are looking for a man and woman suspected of seriously injuring another woman by hitting her in the head with a baseball bat, or possibly a rock.

The victim, whose name hasn't been released, suffered a brain contusion, facial fracture, deep cuts and possible nerve damage. She was released from the hospital Friday evening.

Police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley said the woman was attacked late Tuesday after confronting a group of people in front of her apartment. She told police she was assaulted after asking the people if they lived in the area.

The suspects were talking to people about selling a car. The victim told police there had been break-ins in the area.

"I heard there was drug issues; with drugs in the car, and a little switch that went wrong," a neighbor told CBS4. "I just heard the girl got hit with a rock pretty bad."

The suspects left in a car, possibly a white Cadillac Seville.
