Alamosa Teen Faces Adult Charge In Firebomb Attack
ALAMOSA, Colo. (AP) ―
Prosecutors say a 17-year-old accused of throwing a firebomb at a man in Alamosa will be prosecuted as an adult.
Prosecutors say Dylan I. Martinez of Alamosa was one of two people who attacked the 32-year-old on June 8. He jumped out of the way and wasn't hurt.
Martinez is being held without bail on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. Jail officials say they don't know if he has an attorney.
Police say the intended victim is romantically involved with a woman who has children with a prison inmate, and that the inmate is suspected of orchestrating the attack. Police say they expect charges to be filed against the inmate, who hasn't been identified.
Three other men also face charges in the incident.
