FROM SEA TO TREE - AN ART CONTEST FOR KIDS!
Contest begins on October 26, 2009 and ends on November 29, 2009
Kids…CBS4 and The Wildlife Experience want you to create a creature that lives deep in the sea and high in the trees of the rainforest.
You could win a family trip to your favorite habitat, a membership to The Wildlife Experience or a 4-foot giraffe stuffed animal.
Why do animals adapt? Some birds have webbed feet so they can swim more freely some fish look like their surroundings so they can hide. Animals are a certain color, texture, size and have other traits that help them survive in their environment.
What does an animal need to survive in the sea? Fins, gills, scales, tails?
What does an animal need to survive in the rainforest? Fur, wings, bright colors, beaks?
