About 16,000 Ultra Series gas boilers, manufactured by Weil-McLain, were recalled Tuesday because their labels incorrectly identify the type of gas they are intended to use.

About 16,000 Ultra Series gas boilers, manufactured by Weil-McLain, were recalled Tuesday because their labels incorrectly identify the type of gas they are intended to use.
The boilers should be used with natural gas, but the labels could incorrectly show that they were built to use propane gas. If the boilers are used with the wrong type of gas, there is a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
The company has received one report of carbon monoxide poisoning involving two people.
The recall includes Weil-McLain Ultra 80, Ultra 105, Ultra 155, Ultra 230 and Ultra 310 condensing, high-efficient, gas-fired boilers. The boilers serial numbers range from CP5071716 to CP5327000.
The boilers were sold by plumbing and heating wholesale distributors around the country between May 2005 and July 2006. Consumers with Weil-McLain Ultra Series boilers used for propane should contact the installer for an inspection. For more information, call 866-426-6172 or visit http://www.cpsc.gov.
