Investing With A Green Mindset A Popular Option

DENVER (CBS4) ―

Green investing is growing in popularity, according to a Denver financial firm that specializes in individual retirement accounts.

The Lafayette company Entrust New Direction IRA says they have clients who are thinking environmentally as they invest in their retirement future.

David Williard, one of their clients, used a self-directed IRA to buy shares in a private tree farm business. Bauers Family Tree Farm has a green tree growing and harvesting operation in Costa Rica.

"Colorado has always been home to many leading edge technology companies, and now that list includes green technology. From innovative bio-fuel solutions to improved solar panels, Colorado offers many private investment options," Entrust New Direction IRA states in a prepared statement.

Socially Responsible Investing

Entrust New Direction IRA suggests the following green investing resources:

  • greenmoneyjournal.com "provides a huge variety of articles on green investing, from mutual funds to organic foods."
  • "Social Funds offers information on socially responsible funds, research and news on green companies and green investments."
