Average Gas Price Nears Record In Colorado
DENVER (AP) ―
The price of regular unleaded gasoline is nearing record levels in Colorado while the price of diesel is at an all-time high.
Colorado AAA said the statewide average of a gallon of unleaded was $3.31 Friday. The record is $3.34, set last May.
The national average price reported Friday was $3.36 a gallon.
The average price of $4 for diesel is a statewide record.
Eric Escudero of AAA says gas prices always rise leading up to Memorial Day weekend but the increases this year are about a month early.
