A couple plans to open a pornography shop in Allenspark to replace the four-wheeling business that was forced to close.

Jeff and Vicki Mead say they're just trying to keep their business alive after losing a battle with Boulder County. County commissioners denied their application to keep renting out ATVs after neighbors complained about damage to private property.

The Meads put up a sign that reads, "Coming Soon! Patterson XXX Porn Gallery."

Neighbor Margie Patterson said the Meads are upset with her.

"He's saying it's our fault that he has to resort to a porn gallery," neighbor Margie Patterson said. "There are plenty of other businesses he could operate here if he wanted to."

Jeff Mead said he picked the name "Patterson" for the porn shop not to spite the neighbors, but instead in honor of New York Gov. David Paterson, who is a first amendment activist.
