A new Chick-fil-A is coming to Sheridan and it's creating quite a commotion on River Point Parkway.
The franchise owner announced that the first 100 adults in line at the new restaurant will receive a free year's supply of Chick-fil-A. Now several dozen folks are camping out in front.
The Sheridan franchise is one of 64 new restaurants Chick-fil-A plans to open this year across the country. It's the 15th stand-alone Chick-fil-A in the metro area.
"We very much believe in Colorado," said Dan Cathy, president and chief operating officer and son of Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy in a written statement. "The whole area from Pueblo to Colorado Springs to Boulder -- these are very strong markets."
The Sheridan restaurant opens Thursday morning at 6 a.m. at 4090 River Point Parkway in the River Point Shopping Center. Not only is the restaurant giving away more than $26,000 in free food but the new restaurant brings with it approximately 65 new jobs.
The first 100 promotion started back in 2003 as a way to introduce consumers in Arizona to Chick-fil-A.
