DENVER (CBS4) ― Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall stopped by CBS4's studios to talk to Vic Lombardi about everything from his suspension to his expectations for the upcoming season.

Marshall said he going to try his hardest to stay mentally and physically in the game while he serves his one game suspension.

"I'm going to watch a lot of football and prepare myself as if I was going to be out there," Marshall said.

While Marshall is out he believes the other wide receivers will be able to pick up the slack.

"You're looking at Darrell Jackson, who's been to the Super Bowl. He's a proven player in this league and well respected," he said. "And you've got Keary Colbert, who I think this is his year to go out and make a few plays."

Marshall also said he expects Eddie Royal and Brandon Stokely will play well in his absence.

Marshall also talked about his relationship with Jay Cutler. He said he isn't sure who really plays the role of the "big brother" in the relationship.

"We kind of get after each other when the cameras aren't rolling," he said. "I love this guy."

When Lombardi asked him how he's going to top his 102 receptions from last year, Marshall said he wants 140 this year. Marvin Harrison with the Indianapolis Colts holds the single-season receptions record with 143 receptions in the 2002 season.

Marshall also discussed now-departed veteran safety John Lynch's legacy and what he learned from him.

"I remember coming into the locker room and just seeing how professional he was day in and day out; the way he dressed, the way he carried himself, the way he talked to the fans and to reporters. I learned so much from that guy, just how to be a professional."

He said he wished he knew more about being a professional earlier in his career.

The topic of Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Johnson also came up. Johnson recently legally changed his name to Chad Javon Ocho Cinco. Marshall laughed when Lombardi brought up the subject.

"He's awesome, man," Marshall said. "For all the critics out there, we are entertainers. I love it. I love it."

Lombardi then gave Marshall some choices of names he might want to use. Marshall said he would rather the fans decide.

"Right now when I sign my signature, I put 'Brandon Marshall #15' and I put 'The Beast' underneath. I'm running with 'The Beast' right now but if the fans vote and they have something better, let's go with the fans."

Additional Resources The following are some of the ideas for nicknames that fans contributed on a cbs4denver.com message board:

Len Garcia — I'm going with B-15 (B for Brandon obviously and 15 represents his number)... It sounds like a top secret weapon of some sort and sounds fierce also. Too many people are going with the variation of the first initial and part of the last name (ex: B. Marsh, D. Jack, Jay Cut, etc.) so I think B-15 is nice! Watch out for B-15 this year!!!!! See it rolls off the tongue.

Jed Golder — It's gotta be "Hit and Run" becuase he is always breaking takles and bustin for big yards! GO BRONCOS and Peace from Seattle!

Nick Kossoudji — NICKNAME should be "osteo" short for osteoprosis cause hes always breaking ankles on the field...juking people and trucking people and what not.

Ryan McLaughlin — Brandon "FreakShow" Marshall i think your nickname should be the FreakShow because your always doing some thing freakishly good on the field! my xbox360 gamer tag is Freakshowbmarsh

Jose — B-15   "...and there goes a long bomb  from Jay Cutler to B-15 for an easy score!"

Mike Middleton — The term "Beast" is highly over used. It seems every player someone likes gets labeled that. I think it fits B-Marsh, because he actually is a rare talent and physical specimen, but it would be nice to find something more unique. Uno cinco and Baby TO are just unoriginal and tie him into other players.
Mr. YAC is good because it applies to Marshall's game, but its not really catchy. I mean it could be, but it doesn't quite roll off the tongue. I am going to have to think on this for a bit and see if I can come up with anything good. Hopefully after this year or in the near future we are just referring to him as "All Pro, Super Bowl winning" Brandon Marshall. No nickname required

Mohamud Jama — his nickname should be Brandon Marshall aka "The Offense" since he is the offense or "DB'S worst nightmare" since no DB can hold him 1 on 1

Hogblog — Brandon" Cant Touch This"Marshall

Russ Hughes — "Cornerback Killer"
